- Q: I am not interested in playing Tapdrum, I just want to play
like regular drummers and I already have electronic pads
or electronics drum and want to build more trigger
inputs.Can I use this kit on my instruments?

- A: Yes
Absolutely,Some people build 16 trigger inputs from this kit.
Q:
Does Tapdrum MIDI kits have Velocity sensitivity ?
A: Yes.It
has Analog to Digital Converter to convert vibration levels
of
piezo sensors into MIDI velocity values.
Q: Can I
connect the kit to my Computer ?
A: Yes.You
have to have MIDI to Joystick-port cable for some sound cards.
Q: I dont
know too much about electronics and I dont know how to solder,
Can You build one for me ?
A:
Sure,Let me know if you need only assembled kit or with body
instrument.If you dont know how to build body's instrument you
might do experiment by using capboard boxes and lay piezo
sensors on their surfaces.
Q: I know
how to do woodworking and I am going to build the body instrument by
myself,Could you just do assemble and test the brain kit ready for my
box
?
A :
Yes, of course.You will spend less money to do that.
Q: What else I can do with this kit ?
A: Well, actually a lot.You can modify this kit for Data monitoring by
connecting it to serial port.For this project you have to change
the microcontroller crystal to fit RS-232 serial commnication
standard.You might use it for vibration,temperature or even home/alarm
monitor connected to computer.

- A: Great. I tell you, you will be excited with
this stuff. Could you imagine to play
bassdrum,snare,tom-tom and hi-hat using your
fingers as a set of stick !. Either you are a
performing drummer or studio drummer you will
benefit from it.

instrument ?
- A: Drum
machines such as Alesis,Roland,Korg,Yamaha etc which have
MIDI input or Personal computer which has MIDI input/game/joystick
port.

- Q: Could I create MIDI file from it ?
- A: Yes. If your PC has MIDI
input/game-joystick port and MIDI
software (there are some freeware such as :
Jazzware and Anvil Studio to get started. Most
sound cards today has MIDI interface capability.
